Plan Administration

Depending upon the type of plan and the investment platform selected, American Retirement Plan Services, L.L.C. will perform some or all of the following administrative functions:

  • Receipt of census data
  • Calculation and allocation of contributions
  • Download of participant account data
  • Receipt of duplicate investment statements or download of daily valuations for Trust Accounting and valuation
  • Preparation of annual discrimination, with report of same to the Trustees (semi-annual testing available upon request)
  • Coverage testing as required by the Internal Revenue Service
  • Preparation of Beneficiary Forms
  • Coordination of limited scope audit by CPA and investment company
  • Preparation of Internal Revenue Service forms: 5500, Schedules and any other applicable attachments
  • Actuarial Schedule SB for Defined Benefit Plans
  • Preparation of Safe Harbor Notice (when applicable)
  • Preparation of Information for Required Quarterly Benefit Statements (for plan year 2007 and thereafter)
  • Our presence, when requested, at employee enrollment meetings
  • Summary annual reports and management reports
  • Ongoing telephone support to assist with client questions concerning the plan

* 1096, 1099-R and Form 945
* Loan amortization schedules and security agreements
* Representation of a client during a plan audit by the Internal Revenue Service or Department of Labor
* Hardship withdrawal forms (when applicable)
*Plan Corrections
